The 25-year old has been struck by a motor vehicle in Delray Beach, Florida on Sunday morning and had to have the bottom half of the right leg amputated. He’s now listed in critical condition at Delray Medical Center based on Blackzillians teammate Rashad Evans.
Bellator released a statement suggesting Delray Beach police are seeking info from anyone who may have witnessed the crash. “Bellator has been advised of a dreadful accident that occurred last night between featherweight fighter Jordan Parsons, who was hit by a vehicle in a shout incident,” the statement read. “We’re still in the process of discovering details and with his family’s consent, expect to have an update on his medical condition soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan and his family as he recovers. The hit-and-run occurred on Lindell Blvd. and South Federal Highway at Delray Beach, Florida. Anyone who has information regarding this incident is asked to call the Delray Beach Police Department in -LRB-561-RRB-??243-7800.” Parsons (12-2) has been scheduled to combat Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 154 at San Jose on May 14. I interviewed Parsons last week before the Bellator 154 matchup and that he was excited about the move back up to lightweight. On behalf of myself and the rest of the MMAOddsBreaker.com group, I’d love to send my well wishes to Jordan, his loved ones and his teammates throughout this difficult moment.
